In Search of Breast Implants - About
Nicole's Background
I am 31 years old and have two kids. I am about 54" tall
and weigh about 115 pounds. I have always been into exercise. Although I have always felt
like I had a nice figure, I also felt like there was something missing. As a result, for
as long as I can remember, I wanted to have bigger breasts. In fact, breast
augmentation had been something on my mind for a long, long time.
Sound familiar? Until I had children, I was about a medium A cup in
breast size. Until I had kids, I was also a firm A cup so I was able to live with what I
thought were at least "pretty" breasts. A couple of other things made me more
self-conscious about my breasts, however.
When I was a teenager, I had a benign cyst removed from one of my
breasts. Although the cyst was not especially large, its removal left me with a small
imbalance in breast appearance and a scar on my nipple. To make matters worse, I have had
since childhood a faint scar on my chest from a coffee burn.
These characteristics, along with my breast size, have always made
me feel somewhat inadequate. As I grew older, my breasts did not increase in size despite
my mother's assurances that they would. My mom was a nice-sized B cup when I was younger
and, with age, and not very significant weight gain, she has grown to an ample D cup.
After breast feeding my first child, I knew I wanted breast implants
for sure. During breast-feeding, my breasts swelled to a very full and firm C cup and I
fell in love with the feeling and appearance of them. Afterwards, I was an A again but a
droopy and smaller A. See my photos at the bottom of this page.
When I had my second child, the same thing happened and shortly
after giving birth, I went to see a doctor for my first consultation. Six months after I
finished breast feeding my second child, I went for another consultation with my first
doctor and he told me to wait until more time passed after breast feeding.
Impatient, and because of information provided to me by two of my cousins who were at the
same time considering augmentation, I had a consultation with a surgeon in NYC. Soon
thereafter, I found Dr. Robert Vitolo in Staten Island and New York City. My cousin found
out about Dr. Vitolo from a very satisfied customer and we all scheduled consultations.
My older cousin's situation was driving her toward a very qualified
surgeon and, as a result, her decision meant a great deal to me. She had silicone implants
placed above the muscle almost 15 years prior to her second surgery and wanted to replace
them due to capsular contracture. As you might expect after reading other
women's opinions at this website, she also wanted to increase her size. She was initially
an AAA cup with almost no breast tissue at all. Her first surgery resulted in a B cup but
an appearance she was largely unhappy with.
My other cousin was also an A cup and wanted to be a large B,
"baby" C cup. The three of us went to see Dr. Vitolo and, because of knowledge
gained at prior consultations and due to the caliber of Dr. Vitolo's work, scheduled our
appointments within the month and within a week of each other.
