Three and 1/2 months after breast augmentation
I went to South Beach, Miami, Florida for a vacation. Wow! If you
have breast implants (or naturally large breasts) and are concerned about flaunting them
or looking like you are flaunting them, go to South Beach. Everyone there either has
breast implants or just big, beautiful boobs. I wore anything I wanted to and still felt
very comfortable. I think they look really natural now.
On the beach, I was a tiny bit self-conscious because I wondered who
was wondering if I had breast implants. Even so, I really enjoyed sunbathing and swimming
without a top (common in South Beach). However, I noticed that when I laid flat on my
back, they did not fall to the side as much as natural breasts but stuck straight up a
little. I think they will flatten in time. On the other hand, I saw other women who
had obvious scars and/or had bad results. They obviously had implants because they
looked too visible through the skin (outline of the implant and/or rippling). With the
exception of when I was lying down flat on my back, I think mine looked like the real
thing.
I still massage mine daily to keep them getting softer. I actually
had a scare about two weeks ago when my husband was doing this for me. He squeezed my
right one from behind me to get a good squeeze on it and we heard (and felt) a
"pop" like the implant had exploded.
I found out from my doctor a week and a half later that you can't
pop them in this manner but for the first 24 hours, we were waiting for me to be flat on
one side. Anyway, that "pop" was the breaking up of a little fluid, which had
formed on one side where I was noticing less softening, apparently a slight contracture.
After that pop, my right one (which was a lot firmer than the left) was so much softer.
Another point for the massaging school of thought.

Parting words for women considering breast
augmentation
(This section was written prior to my adding a 9 month update. So,
when you read my breast augmentation journal now, you will see several sets of
"parting words for women who are considering breast augmentation and breast
implants".) Whatever you decide, I strongly urge you to read everything I have said
here, everything at each of the links on ImplantInfo as well as everything else you can
get your hands on.
Don't be swayed by the silicone horror stories or the glamorous ads
of the surgeons themselves. Just gain as much as you can from all of it. Based on that,
come up with a list of the risks that you feel are truly worth being concerned about and
ask yourself whether you believe the benefits to you are worth the risks.
I am extremely happy with my results at this point although I have
accepted the fact that I will have to have surgery again at some point because implants do
not last forever. I would also do it all over again despite the pain and cost of the
surgery. Whether you have them done under the muscle, over the muscle, through the breast,
navel or armpit, smooth or textured, round or anatomical, B C or D will depend on your own
personal goals. Good luck!.
